As spring arrives plans for
the 2014 Clinton County Fair are well under way. Entertainment, judges and events
are being lined up. Dates have been set for Wednesday, July 16th through
Sunday, July 20th.
Many fair favorites will be
returning. Evening entertainment will include the Garden Tractor Pull; Mutton Bustin’,
Bull Riding and Barrel Races; Tractor and Truck Pull; and the Demolition Derby.
Other free things to see and do will include a chick hatching display, Miller’s
Petting Zoo, Farm Bureau’s “Farming at the Fair”, “I Milked a Cow”, the Painted
Dragon face painter and the Truth Singers. Start preparing now to participate
in some of the more than 16 free open shows and contests which include creative
arts, flower shows, Master Gardeners’ vegetable and outdoor container contests,
pedal pull and Bill Riley’s Talent Search.
While you are at the fair this
summer you will want to be on the lookout for the Amazing Bigfoot; Wild Bill
Toady’s Reptile and Amphibian Extravaganza; and balloon artist, Zany Janie and
her Magic Balloon Show. On Friday and Saturday nights of fair the Clinton
County Cattlemen will be serving a supper sandwich special.
Changes in the evening entertainment
include hypnotist, Jeff Michaels on Thursday. The Badger State Tractor Pulling
Association will fill the skies with smoke with the addition of the Limited Pro
Stock class to the Tractor Pull on Saturday night.
